The Future is a conversational journey in an existential landscape. Two longtime acquaintances, Nora and Nanette, use email missives to explore their present concerns, expand their individual curiosities, and develop a friendship in this wandering dialogue on the subject of The Future. The Future includes digital illustrations by Nora Raggio and ballpoint drawings by Nanette Wylde.
Nora Raggio brief bio: Nora Raggio is a multi-disciplinary artist focusing on investigations of human emotions and rationality in current contexts. She often collaborates with other artists and scientists including installations and performance art curated by Guillermo Galindo. Nora has been selected to be an artist-in-residence at the Djerassi Resident Artists Program in Woodside, California; and at Cubberley Artist Studio Program in Palo Alto, California. Her work has been shown locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. She has a BA in Biochemistry, an MBA from UC Berkeley, and an MFA from San José State University. She lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Nanette Wylde: Nanette Wylde is an artist, writer and cultural worker making socially reflective, language-based works generally of hybrid media. Her artists' books and prints are included in significant international collections. She has a BA in Behavioral Science from San Jose State University and an MFA in Interactive Multimedia and Printmaking from Ohio State University.
